Recommended Age: 6th - 12th grades

Course Description: Students will cover the fundamentals of the elements of art and design through the practice and mastery of pencil, graphite, charcoal, prisma, micron, pen and ink. Lessons cover basic anatomy, landscape, portraiture, mixed media, collage, and mural. Gridding, shading, line, shape, value, texture, proportion, and perspective. Proper portfolio prep for submission and university application is taught. (Field Trip: This class will accompany me to the MFAH for a tour lead by me through open gallery space)
