“Fine Arts Friday” is an enrichment program for the Houston Bay Area homeschooling community. With an assortment of semester long classes to choose from, your student can learn to bake, shoot and edit videos, learn musical theater skills, work with different art mediums, and engage in Robotics and STEM skills plus much more.

Come sing with us!!
Your student will learn music basics, how to follow music, blend voices and work together as a team.
Choir Showcase will be held on last day in May.

Ages: 5-10
Cost: $350
First half due when registering, the balance of $175 is due on March 1st.
In this exciting class students will build vocal skills and stage confidence as they learn how to use their bodies and voices to connect with an audience. If your student is just getting started or looking for more practice before jumping into our big show auditions - this is the best start. Students will be performing at intermission of the matinee Matilda Jr. show in May, as well as another showcase opportunity.

Materials Needed: An acoustic piano or keyboard with 88 keys at home to practice on.
Cost: $102/month, with a $60 book fee due with first month's payment.
8 Months of Tuition - September-April
$15 fee to register, then reach out to admin@bayareahomeschoolacademy.com for you desired time slot. You will pay $102 monthly tuition directly to Mrs. Swain each month.
This class is designed to introduce little ones to art appreciation and creative expression through hands on art activities. This will be a fun 45 min class that your student will look forward to each week!

Your student will learn about famous artists throughout history and get to create their own artwork using the techniques and styles of the artists they learn about.

Learn the different techniques of some of the master artists throughout history. Your student will learn about the time period and the skills of the artist and get to practice using each type of technique as they create their own masterpiece.

This 15 week session will be a fun and engaging, hands-on class where students will dive into the study of different animals and their unique habits. God created each animal so special and different and this class will provide a fun reminder of God’s creativity in his creation!

In this course, your student will learn the basics of building and team work. With hands on experience and fun, this class will teach fine motor skills and problem solving in the most fun way!

Take it to the next level with CHALLENGE Robotics! This class will allow students to work together to build robots, challenging their skills and abilities as they grow in skill and knowledge over the semester.

Is your student interested in cartoon art and graphics?
Join digital artist, Haley Elliot, for an amazing opportunity to the basics of cartoon art! Students will learn anatomy, style development, and the different techniques to take their talents to new heights.
Students are not required to have prior artistic talent or skill!
Returning students may sign up for additional level instruction in this class.
Students can use either Ipads/electric drawing apps or paper.

Does your student enjoy films such as: "The Nightmare Before Christmas", "Coraline", or "Wallace and Gromit"?
Well now your student can learn to create their very own stop motion films! This class will demonstrate the tips and tricks to create poseable figures, editing techniques, and their very own videos.
No prior artistic skill is necessary for this class!"
Phones or tablets with a rear camera are required for this class. Computers will not work. Materials such as the tripods and backdrops will be provided.

Class Description: The whole world is quickly becoming video, from the ads we see, to the messages we send, but there are principles that everyone from commercial creators to classic film directors use to create the films we love. In this class we will cover everything that goes into the creative process for making videos, from how to setup a camera, recording quality audio, setting up lighting for filming, editing video, how to export video for different digital mediums and more. The goal is that by the end of the semester nothing is standing between you and your creativity.

In a continuation of Mr. Harding’s “video production” class, this class will focus on brainstorming and teamwork as students work together to write, direct, film, and edit an original short film.

In this class, students will have the opportunity to take their cake decorating skills to the next level as they learn how to work with fondant and how to bake, stack, and decorate layered cakes.

In this class the students will learn to bake and make simple sweet treats: Cookies, Macaroon, simple Pastries/Cakes and more. Simple frosting or glazes will be used and students will take home their baked goods each week.
Worship with Sign Language is a class designed to help students worship in a different and new way. When you learn the motions and meanings of the words you are singing, it brings the songs to life in a very special way. Go deeper with God by learning to worship through Sign Language.

This class will allow students to learn different craft techniques while discovering their God-given artistic talents. Activities will include things like soap making, origami, card making, macrame, hand sewing, and more.

This class equips students with foundational skills in computer-aided design and drafting using Onshape, a cloud-based CAD platform. Students will learn how to design 2D AND 3D objects. They will also learn the basics of 3D printing. CAD is a great skill to prepare for careers in engineering, architecture, and design by exploring modern industry tools.
