MATERIALS NEEDED: Sound Speech Student Book and notebook (spiral bound or 3 ring binder with paper)

AGE REQUIREMENT: 9th-12th grade

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will include discussions of the communication process, audience analysis, and public speaking guidelines. It will also cover  topic choice, research, organization, and effective communication. Speaking projects include introductions, interviews, demonstration speeches, declamations, informative speeches, devotional speeches, and persuasive speeches. This course counts as a 1/2 credit on a high school transcript.
