Course Description: This class will teach students the elements and principals of art. The students will also be learning about The French Impressionist. Students will learn the different personalities of the artists, the history surrounding the Impressionist movement, and the techniques of Impressionism. Different Impressionist artist will be covered individually. The student will then create his or her own Impressionist pieces using the specific French Impressionist artist studied as inspiration. Students will be expected to take notes in class. This class will primarily be using acrylic paint on various types of paper and canvas.

**All Art abilities are welcome but some previous art experience will be helpful. 

If you have a younger student that has previously taken a different BAHA art class and would like to learn about the Impressionist please contact me directly for possible enrollment in this class.

 This course can count as 1 elective credit on a high school transcript.
