Recommended Grade Level: 11th and 12th grades (Must have completed or be concurrently enrolled in Algebra 2 to take Physics)

Curriculum: Apologia Exploring Creation with Physics, 2nd Edition

Required Materials: Exploring Creation with Physics Text and Solutions Manual, 2nd edition (2015 or later) and TI-84 graphing calculator
Laptop available to bring to class each week is STRONGLY RECCOMMENDED

Course Description: Mrs. Keown will use this thorough, instructional Apologia text, accompanied by additional assignments and resources from Khan Academy, to offer your student the fullest and most complete, introduction to Physics. The course will cover vector analysis, Newton's laws, work and energy, waves, magnetism, electrodynamics, and more, and will prepare your student for college and/or further Physics studies. Having a laptop available to bring to class each week is STRONGLY RECCOMMENDED. Physics counts as 1 high school science credit on a high school transcript.

*Physics requires a math placement test.
