Course Prerequisite: Student must have successfully completed Algebra 2 with a letter of recommendation from teacher. Placement test available here.

Curriculum: Saxon Advanced Mathematics student text (ISBN:  9781565770393) and solutions manual (ISBN:  781565770423) and a TI-84 graphing calculator

Required Materials: Course student text and solutions manual*, TI-84 graphing calculator, a 1-subject spiral notebook, and a 3 ring binder

Course Description: This advanced math course will review some Algebra II concepts and cover pre-calculus concepts including permutations, combinations, trigonometric and inverse functions, conic sections, matrices and determinants, binomial theorem, and rational roots. In order to complete and master the Pre-calculus content in the curriculum, the analytic geometry included in the text will be excluded for the purposes of this course. 

This course counts as 1 credit on a high school transcript. 

**If this course is completed after completing Saxon Algebra 1 and Saxon Algebra 2, a student will receive 4 total math credits and not need to take Geometry as a stand alone course.
