Recommended Age Level: 11th grade and up (Spanish 2 is a pre-requisite to this course)

Curriculum: Breaking The Spanish Barrier by John Conner and Cathy Folts

Materials Needed: A supply fee of $15 will be required for the year.  You do NOT need to purchase a textbook. I will provide handouts based on the text, Breaking The Spanish Barrier by John Conner and Cathy Folts (ISBN: 978-1-955306-04-1). 

Course Description: Spanish 2 is a course that builds upon the basic communication skills mastered in the Spanish 1 course. The student will be studying advanced vocabulary and grammatical concepts and will be expected to use these skills in communication within situations studied. In addition, the student will study aspects of Hispanic culture and history via a variety of media. Students will reinforce and draw upon earlier study and continue the development of their listening, speaking, reading and writing proficiencies so that they can engage in simple conversations and handle routine situations.

Zoom class: This class will include a lot of verbs, conjugation, conversation, and more that cannot be covered in just one class per week. We believe a second class is necessary and will be one-hour long on Mondays 5:00-6:00pm.
