STUDY HALL

BAHA Study Hall exists to provide a supervised, thoughtful and social environment where students can gather between classes to work on school, eat a snack, or visit with friends. We are excited to offer this space for the students of BAHA and will expect each student and family to abide by the guidelines provided so that BAHA Study Hall can be enjoyed by all.

STUDY HALL FAQ’s & GUIDELINES

-BAHA Drop Off and Pick Up Rules:

  • Study Hall is intended for students who take 2 or more classes on the same BAHA day, with a break between their classes and for families with multiple children taking classes on the same BAHA day.

  • Block 2 and Block 3 are the only eligible study hall blocks.

  • Please do not bring your student to BAHA until just before the start of his/her class. The earliest you can drop a student off before a class is 30 minutes.

  • Please make plans to pick up your student after their class is let out. The latest you can pick up a student after their class is 30 minutes after their class releases with the exception of Block 4, where students will need to be picked up promptly after class is released.

  • Exceptions for siblings and carpools do apply. Reach out to Jennifer Yarnold with any questions.

  • Families that routinely do not honor the BAHA Study Hall Guidelines and drop students early or leave students on campus late may be subjected to a childcare fee or no longer eligible for study hall.

General Guidelines:

  •  A SHS (Study Hall Supervisor) will be present at all times to monitor the students and the sell of concessions. Please treat these BAHA faculty members with kindness and respect as they serve our program in this way.

  • The same dress code and behavior rules that apply in class, also apply in Study Hall. We are aiming for an all around respectful environment.

  •  No electronics are allowed in Study Hall. There will be exceptions for students needing to communicate with a parent or if a student is using a device for educational purposes. All other use of electronic devices will be strictly prohibited. This rule is not to make anyone miserable. We just believe a device-free environment is the safest, most enriching option for our students.

  • Snacks are available for purchase, including Pizza and Chick-fil-A orders for lunch. Please plan ahead for your student. Lunch orders must be placed in advance for each semester at a time. Students are also free to bring their own lunch.
